Recording and Assets from my PhoneGap Presentation

This post is more than 2 years old.

For those who attended my PhoneGap presentation earlier this week (or those who just want to hear the sound of my silky-smooth almost Billy Dee Williams voice) you can view the recording at the URL below. Note that if you did not register for the event you will be asked to register before you can view it. To be clear, this is free.

For folks who want a copy of the demos I used, you can get the source code and the slide deck here:

As always, thank you to everyone who showed up (apparently near 900) and I hope you enjoyed it.

Im curious as to why the audio and video are separate? I logged in and started listening to this and thought the right window (Slide Area) woudl start soon. Then I realized that the link for "Click to Join Now" which opened the video. Then the audio and video were a few minutes out of sync.
Thanks for doing this Ray. Im looking forward to watching (and listening in sync) this now since I've restarted it.

The system they use is a bit.... wonky. ;) Then again, Adobe Connect has spoiled me. I've yet to see a better system.

I watched about half of it then the audio kept became to much of a pita to try synching them since the video kept going and had no controls.

Sorry to hear that. I can say they said a YouTube version was also being created. But they said it would take a few weeks.

The only issue I had with the presentation is that if you pause the audio, the visual continues to play so you can't pause the audio too long or else the two parts won't stay synched. During the Phonegap build section of the presentation you mentioned config.xml. Is this file something Phonegap includes when one builds or is it something that needs to be included in our app(s) before we zip them up and build?

You would need to include it. PGB doesn't require it, and you can set some settings via the settings in your app screen on PGB. But for access to _all_ the settings, you need to use a config.xml file.

Look forward to the Youtube version. Looked highly interesting. This version got horribly out of sync 20 minutes in, and I couldn't get it to work right afterwards.
