How to get your ColdFusion Builder 2 Serial

This post is more than 2 years old.

A few days ago a buddy of mine asked how to get his CFBuilder 2 serial number. Turns out you can't do that from the IDE itself. I reached out to the engineers and Krishna shared the following tips with me:

Option 1) Register the product using Adobe ID (Help->Register Adobe ColdFusion Builder...). After sometime, it will be updated in Adobe license database and can be retrieved from

https://www.adobe.com/account.html

Then click on My products by authenticating with Adobe ID. You can see your product serial there. This option is only for Retail serial keys.

Option 2) Contact support.

Probably a good idea to copy down all serials anyway. I use Evernote for stuff like this.

Thanks for the older, but still useful post :) I was getting server errors anytime I tried to hit the account but clearing cookies solved it. I thought I'd throw that info out there in case anyone else trips across this page and is having the same issue. The "register..." link under "help" in CF Builder was sending me straight to the error page which is what led to my Googling.

I've tried twice. All I get is:
"Could not register your product at this time. Try again later."

Sorry - but this post is 5 years old now - things probably changed. Contact Adobe customer service - and good luck.

Thanks for the lighting quick response!

I can check w/my manager to see if he still has it. That of course would be Mr. C. S. - someone you may remember from your FC days. :)

Now we'll see if his response time can match yours! ;)
