Multiple Emails from RIAForge (Yes, I know)

This post is more than 2 years old.

I've gotten quite a few emails from folks letting me know that RIAForge is sending 3 email reports a day instead of 1. I just wanted to let folks know that I do know about this.

In case folks are curious - I don't actually know why this is happening now, but I've enabled logging for scheduled tasks to see if I can find what is up. Of course I'll have to wait a good 20 hours until it runs again, but hopefully the log will shed some light into what is going wrong.

the weird thing is that the three that i received this morning were so massively seperated by time, one at 5:05am (GMT), 5:54am and 7:23am and the ones the day before at exactly the same times...

We used to get something similar for scheduled tasks awhile back, but that was v7 not v8. When we removed all scheduled tasks and set them back up from scratch it went away. I remember a hotfix in v7 that dealt with scheduled tasks timing too.

ummm.... funny you should mention hotfixes....

I just looked in my RIAForge folder. The triplets start at the same time as the release of CF8 HF2...

RIAForge isn't running CF8 HF2.

Ah well.. pure coincidence then....
Just thought I'd mention it.

@Ray - Are your scheduled tasks "Recurring Daily" tasks or "Daily every..." tasks? We've had scheduled tasks before that would just start running at strange times. According to the task log it appeared they were getting scheduled for these extra runs, though we could never determine why.

It seems to have only happened for the "Daily every..." tasks. Since your email is once a day, I assume it would be a "Recurring Daily" task, but thought I'd mention it.

As DK mentioned, we've seen this in v7.

They are recurring daily. Thanks though.
