I've updated the YouTube CFC and now have it posted up at RIAForge: YouTube CFC
The new version now includes a utility function to return a query of valid categories for use with the category search API.
I built a quick little demo site using ColdFusion 8 Ajax goodness and the CFC. Enjoy.

That is very cool!!!
hum - very interesting...
Hey now - don't get too excited there Scott. ;)
I said it once, I'll say it again.
Ray, you are a machine.
Damn Ray, I am VERY impressed. Great job. :)
This. is. seriously. cool.
Err . . . there's nothing to download at RIAForge. Can't even browse the repository. I know . . . hold my horses - yes, sir!
Oops. How did I forget that? It is available now.
Great googlie mooglies! That's shiny!
Heh thanks. And remember my design skills suck. I'm sure a designer could make it even nicer.
@Ray,
Just downloaded the zip from riaforge, and there's not much about implementing it similiarly to your demo, am I missing something?
Not sure what you mean. The docs are lean, but if you read the CFC you should see the methods and the arguments for each. Does that help any?
Hi Ray,
just tried your demo and it failed - The method getVideosByTag was not found in component demos.yt.youtube.
Just entered some text in the first textbox and hit "Search".
I'll check when I get back home.
The demo is way old - sorry.
