Folks, I've submitted a digg and dzone story. Please vote/digg these links to help get them to the front page.
Digg: http://digg.com/tech_news/ColdFusion_8_Launches
DZone: http://www.dzone.com/links/coldfusion_8_launches.html
Edit: Joshua Cyr mentions he submitted the story to Slashdot. I'm not quite sure how you vote for a site there, but if you still read Slashdot (and who really does anymore), you can push it there.

Wow, you can hear the gap widening now! Well done, Adobe, of gaining more support and customers! Wow, this should put CF right over the top of RoR. Looks like I'll be switching because this is going to bankrupt me.
Just be aware that there's going to be a few post complaining about the price increase for Enterprise. Might want to explain a little about what Enterprise is and why the price increase . .
I can't really answer that. I don't speak for Adobe.
CF no more: I have no problem with people complaining. I want an open forum here. But if you are going to say something - use your real name. Anyone else who posts anonymously will be deleted.
Seriously folks - complain. B****. Moan. Etc. Just don't be afraid to stand up for what you think.
Ok, I just deleted my first comment.
Seriously folks - if you want to complain about the pricing, I'm ok with that. But at least use your real name.
Didnt take too long. #1 on Digg already. Keep it up everyone!
lots of hate, but it was expected. I love all the developers who lay awake at night so worried over how much ColdFusion costs their company they work for. Its heart warming ;)
It really bugs me (the hate I mean). While I don't use PHP, I've played with it in the past. It isn't a bad technology. If I didn't have CF, I could see using it, and not hating it at all. I can respect PHP coders and their solutions to their problems.
What I can't respect is the PHP folks who feel the need to bash everything that isn't theirs. Real mature. I just hope they are the vocal cry baby minority.
Ray-
You should post that comment from above on Digg. It bothers me too. I love the typical 'Is CF still around?' Obviously it is because its #1 on DIGG you fool. Unfortunatley there are always going to be those haters out there.
Jason - I posted a few comments to the thread... but I had to stop. I can't do it. I just can't take the hate. Maybe I'm weak that way (too much teasing in high school for being fat), but I can't look at those comments and NOT take it personally. (I know - I don't even work for Adobe, but ColdFusion is my baby. ;)
