Taking a wild chance here. If anyone has built their own Windows Server ISO with SATA drivers baked in, please contact me off list. I have a valid license for Windows Server 2003, but am stuck trying to rebuild my old Dell since I have SATA drives and no floppy. (Yes, I know I can build one myself. I tried - but just got too ticked off and lost all my patience. :) Have I mentioned how much I don't like Windows anymore?

I have a usb floppy drive you can borrow.
Heh, FTP it to me. ;)
Either that or Fedex... :)
FYI, I tried a USB key. It doesn't seem to work as the installer demands A:\ for the drivers.
Ok.. All kidding aside. I've never done this myself but it looks fairly simple according the these directions:

You know, that's kinda freaky. I've been banging my head against the wall trying to accomplish the same thing today. I've built two slipstreamed cds with the drivers and both times they haven't worked on the server I'm working on.
I've been using this http://www.nliteos.com/ if its any help to you although I doubt it will be since you are working in a Mac :( environment.
Rob, this isn't for my nice new shiny mac. Itis for my old PC that had a HD issue that I'm not trying to nuke and set up into Windows Server 2003.
I was referring to the building of the slipstream file using the software from http://www.nliteos.com/.
But if I make any progress with getting mine working I'll let you know.
See if this helps:

I had to do this exact thing cuz I had a RAID controller. But, I am not sure why your SATA drives need a driver.
I ended up buying a USB floppy drive ($18 @ Compgeeks.com).
You might try changing the BIOS to look at the USB thumbdrive as drive A. (I think you have to format it FAT16)
HTH!
So let me give folks an update. I too went out and got a usb floppy drive, except mine cost 50 (ouch). I got the sata drivers on there. Windows can see them - but I still end up at the 'Windows can't seem to find a hard drive' area. So I figure 2 things:
a) The sata drivers were given to me by one of my readers. It may not be the right sata drivers for my drive.
b) Maybe I messed up the partition table to so bad that Windows just can't do crap with it. Ubuntu runs just fine - but I'm thinking maybe I need to just nuke the entire drive back to one simple fat 32 partition.
Oh - and I do still have thagt Dell recovery partition that came with the machine. I can try to boot into that.
