All the cool kids are going to MAX - are you?

I don't know about you - but I wouldn't be caught dead missing MAX. Today is the last day to register, so get to it!

Woohoo! Thanks Boeing, for sending me to MAX, I couldn't have done it without you. :-P

I've gone the last three years and can't this year because it's too expensive. Please, Adobe, help us out next year!!!

If you need to pay yourself as a developer, it is really expensive for what we have at MAX.

CFUnited rocks! :)

I think you should have titled it:
All the cool kids who's employers are paying or are rich are going to MAX - are you?

Comment 6 by John Wilker posted on 10/14/2006 at 1:46 AM

Me and the MBP will be there :)

The cost is definitely prohibative for those not with corporate sponsors...

My wife and I run our own cunsulting company... meaning we're paying for it ourselves... that hurts a bit but... it's worth it, if you can do it.

Me my MBP and my wife will be there as well. Only, my wife won't be at MAX she'll be enjoying the room (someone's gotta enjoy it).

x2

I already squeezed CFUnited 06 out of my employer. Not a chance of two conferences so close together. Holding out for cf.Objective now.

I will be there! I have a primary consulting client during the day and then I did side work on the side to finance it.

I was coding a lot, but the benefit is some good times and good code.

Cheers!

As with John I run my own consulting company. Unlike John, I can't justify the expense of going. For me it isn't worth it.

It just comes down to how I learn things, which isn't in a classroom type of setting. That diminishes the benefit of such a conference.

I'll be watching the news as it gets posted in the blogsphere and am gonna be jealous about all the fun, though. I'm fine w/ not being cool.

Ray, I'm making the trek over the Pacific again this year, hope to catch up.

You're still cool Jeff :)

The crew from Edge will be there... looking forward to seeing all y'all!

I was lucky the company sent two developers to CFUnited. Maybe next budget year we will have enough fundage for two conferences.

I went last year and had a awesome time! When the time came around for this year the price was just too expensive for my employer to send me. So, I will just be pushing for cfunited next year.

Aww, you make me sad, Ray. I've gone to DevCon/MAX every year since 2001, but when budget request time came this year, MAX was not yet announced, so I went to CFUnited. It was great, but I only get one major conference a year (unless Simon will give me a MAX admission...) ;-) so I shall be one of the uncool kids looking on in envy...
