If you are in the UK (or can afford to travel to it), check out CFDEVCON. It is a one day conference on November 9 in Surrey, about 30 minutes or so from London. The price is 40 pounds (plus VAT), and if the exchange rate is anything like it was last time I was in England, that is only about 50-60 American dollars, which is pretty darn cheap if you ask me. Registration is open and some speakers and topics are already announced.
You know - a long time ago (in Internet years), there used to be quite a few ColdFusion conferences. It seems like we are slowly returning to the those "good ole days" and I'm pretty darn happy to see it. (Now we just need to get CFSOUTH back - anyone want to help me? :)

Yeah, I WISH GBP40 was under USD60 - would make my Edinburgh travels sooooo much cheaper. As it is, Ednburgh makes MANHATTAN look cheap! Luckily we have UK clients as well, so we're making some money in both currencies.
Ray, are you actually attending? I was planning to be in NYC, but if enough of the right people are going . . . I see Mark Drew will be presenting CF Eclipse which is always nice . . .
If you're serious about CFSOUTH, then we should talk.

Don't forget that the VAT will bump the price up by 17.5%, so thats about $90 all told, but even then its not a major expense if you happen to be in that part of the country.
Sorry for underestimating the the currency rate - although I still think the price is a steal. :)
Peter: I wish. If someone wants to pay my way and my work doesn't mind, then sure. :)
Vince: I've toyed with the idea for a while. It was nice having a small regional conference near by... and "small" isn't even fair, I do seem to remember a good sized turn out. I'll let you know if I get any further with the idea.
I have asked if Ray wants to come and be a speaker, so it all depends on sponsorship now. If I can pay for him to come over I will.
Rays site is currently the top referer to cfdevcon, damn you a busy blog mate :-)
Heh, I try.
I know the price seems prohibitive but £40 is really not much. I spend that on a fairly weak night out here in London.
I think it will be definately worth it (apart from the fact that I shall be speaking of course) as it will be the first CF conference I have been to in the UK

Speaking for myself, outside of the travel the cost seems more than fine. As I said in the entry, I'm happy to see these conferences growing.
