So, I'm estatic. A while ago I blogged about the rerelease of the old Depeche Mode box sets (along with two completely new sets). A few days ago I discovered that Duran Duran now has a box set as well, and even better, it's their early stuff (81-85). I loved Duran Duran when I was growing up, but I never owned the singles. This collection contains a lot of b-sides I never got to hear before. If you are a fan you should defintely check it out.

Ray, have you seen the Cure box set yet (Join the Dots: B-sides and Rarities, 1978-2001)? It's been out for a few months now, and it's pretty decent.
Yep, I got it. :)
Another band I saw way back when, before they were big. Actually saw them on the tour for Rio, about 1 1/2 years before they 'broke'. They were one of my absolute favorite bands in the early 80's, until they got big and (in my opinion) changed their style for the worse. Just like Simple Minds.
