Last year I blogged about my experience upgrading my iPhone to 2.0. Little did I know that within a few hours I'd have a few hundred comments. It ended up being the most commented blog entry on my blog (972, almost 1k!) and my 6th most visited entry over all.
So given that the upgrade was a bit... rough last time - who is going to hold off doing the upgrade this time? I know I'm not going to wait. Working at home, even if my phone bricks, it isn't the end of the world.

And if my phone dies, well, a little peace and quiet is good for the productivity I guess. :)

Still, I'm sitting here clicking "check for upgrade" every few seconds. Don't think I have it in me to wait.
(Yawn) Maybe I'd feel a little differently if I had an iPhone rather than an iPod Touch, but I doubt it. While the new features are cool, I don't feel deprived by not having them right away. I'll get the update eventually.
To be honest though, there was a little part of me that hoped the update would brickj the phone so that I could call Apple up and give them hell.
I lost my contacts. That was my fault though, not 3.0. I removed a calendar, and somehow that nuked my contacts too. Mainly I clicked a bit too quick, but part of me still feels like the calendar/contact area of the OS is a bit odd.
I had 5 apps marked as updated. I clicked Update All. I then got 5 'You must agree to new terms' warnings. I went through this 3-4 times, repeating the same TOC page and agreeing to terms. Finally 4 of my apps got updated. One app simply wouldn't update. It kept asking me to agree to the new terms.
Oh, and my new 3Gs? Marked 'prepared for shipment' and apparently it arrives tomorrow still. I assume this means overnight delivery.
