This blog post is mostly for me so I don't forget, but here is an excellent tool for migrating from SQL Server to MySQL: MSSQL2MySQL. The only drawback is that you need MS Office or VB installed to run the script. I still have MS Office on my desktop, but I don't use it anymore. I'm completely on OpenOffice now. (Except on the Mac - I'm still using Office there till OpenOffice for the Mac gets improved.)

I've only used it to convert MS-Access, but it just took a few clicks and it was done.
On a side note - it is amazing how nice the default Powerpoint templates look for the Mac. Maybe I'm just overly used to the defaults on the PC.
Anyway, if there is ever a free intel-based OpenOffice, I'll switch for sure.
It will be from the start of next month, according to a comment on a recent /. story. Apperently it says so somewhere on their site.
Also, the final released version for Intel will be free (in case you were worried !).
