This is a cross post from Steven's blog, but I thought it worthy of mention. Adobe has posted a list of some of the world's top companies that use ColdFusion:

Useful ammunition for people making the case for ColdFusion. (Quick brag moment - I was involved with two of those sites listed there!)

	I think the statement alone "75 of the Fortune 100" companies use ColdFusion, proves itself.

	Maybe it makes me a bad person, but I cringe every time I see "fuseaction=" or ".cfm" on MySpace.

	I just saw an internal bulletin highlighting this article, so I assumed it was new but I don't know for sure. I also searched MXNA for blog posts that might have mentioned it already, and found none. Ben Forta maintains a similar list found here: http://www.forta.com/cf/using/list.cfm?categ_id=19...

	Actually, at least some of the same info is in the CFMX 7 book. Not sure if the customer base is updated, but big names that I have worked on are not there such as Disney and CareerBuilder. http://www.amazon.ca/Macromedia-ColdFusion-Web-App...

Just having this information on the Adobe website with the Adobe branding lends a great deal of credibility to ColdFusion for those skeptical decision makers. I would imagine that Adobe customers who were not former Macromedia customers may not be aware of the widespread server deployment or large developer base among these top companies, so, again, getting this information out there on adobe.com is a good thing, no matter how redundant.

The quick fact list is also very handy to have in the back pocket.

	Yes, but to what extent? I've worked at several companies that published customer lists showing that IBM, GE, GM, and the like all "used" their products. When in fact Joe over in the Denver plant ordered one to test, or Jane ordered a personal copy, but had it shipped to her work address.

	I am fairly sure this existed previously as it seemed awfully familiar...I am sure I saw this before, but it is certainly a valuable link. Perhaps it was recently updated.

	One site that`s not on the list that`s worth mentioning is the <a href='http://www.voanews.com/english/portal.cfm'>Voice of America</a> site. I`m sure it gets a lot of traffic, and it certainly serves an international audience.

Gah... So.. American! Over the last two years I have worked with some massive clients here in the UK, some even use spry!. See: http://www.jaeger.co.uk and http://www.hackett.com for some eCommerce sites with Spry, http://www.butlins.co.uk (massive site), http://www.bwspeakers.com (dont work on that one anymore, but its still running Spectra!) as well as http://www.selfridges.com (didnt develop that one... but look after the engine).

	They really need to update that list as it is out of the date. The one obvious site that needs changed is eBags, as that now runs on BlueDragon. So yeah, great that the list is there. Would be better if it was accurate.

	They should add the City of LA on there. They use CF extensively, granted it's on a lot of intranet apps. Also Raytheon, uses it. Those are pretty big mentions. Then I will also be able to say that I have worked on at least 2 sites on the list ;)

Hate to pee in the nice white coldfusion snow of Adobe, however, why do all the links for the case studies end in a JSP page? Maybe they've forgotten to use their Coldfusion? I am just being facetious, even though I really find it amusing that Adobe would do that and diss their premier application server like that. Oh yeah, I worked on a few intranets coding coldfusion too with the Air Force. And yes, there are a boatload of servers on the classified networks too. Can't say more than that or they would have to cut my head off and put it in a safe! (Just kidding).

	I know I've seen that list before the merger, but it's a good reminder, and I've sent it (and Ben's list) to my sales drones. Some of those case studies are veeeeery out of date :) (Go Aspen!)
