So I hope people are getting too bored yet, but hey, this is a personal blog. Last night I grabbed my laptop, did some work, and noticed something odd. When I went to check how little time I had left, Windows told me I still had an hour and fourty-five minutes left. I had to look twice because I hadn't seen that much available in a long. I thought perhaps it was wrong, but thirty or so minutes later and I was still well over an hour of battery life remaining. So this makes me wonder - did the battery just take time to warm up? I'm still mad as heck at how I was bounced around in the queues yesterday, but if the battery continues to work like this, I'll probably forget about it.

Some batteries are like that, they take a full cycle or two to get up to full speed, so maybe yours is one. Its been too long since I spent any time geeking about the particulars so I don't remember for certain.
Somnetimes, depending on the battery type you need to charge and drain the battery a few times to get the max charge. When I wokred as a paramedic, we needed to do this anytime we got new batteries for our portable EKC machine.
Sometimes the machine misreads the amount of juice in the battery. I had one that would freak out and try and go into stand-by (which meant I would have to plug in the machine, take out the battery and push the little display button on the battery itself)
So just an update - the battery is back to giving me just an hour. -sigh-
