I've uploaded the Powerpoint and code to my two presentations. I haven't given the custom tag presentation yet, so if you are planning on attending it, you may want to wait to download it.

Ray -

Quick question. During your Verity presentation, when you were discussing the new 'context' feature, you showed how you would add something like __99__ to the beginning and _00__ to the end of the 'context' because the summary could contain HTML and you would typically strip out the HTML before displaying (which I do).

My question is, what would be the potential effects (good or bad) be of stripping the HTML before updating the collection? Does Verity know to ignore HTML tags?

If I search for 'strong', will items with <strong> tags be returned?
You should probably include the database so people can have a working example.
Verity knows to ignore HTML, in terms of content (although it recognizes the TITLE tag of course), but it will store the original content as is. I hope that makes sense. I BELIEVE Verity will ignore the strong tag, but I'd have to confirm it to say for sure.

Nate: the db was for cflib. Any db would work fine.
Ray,
Getting a 404 for your Verity presentation. Is it offline due to there being an upgrade in the works?
In the URLs above, change ray.camdenfamily.com to www.coldfusionjedi.com.

Note that these presentations are from 2005. They are QUITE old.
The links are not valid :(

Nice job doing there Raimond
Thx
